Casual place with excellent Venezuelan-style food and a family atmosphere. I tried the arepas, scrambled eggs, empanadas de cazon, cachapas, and the papelon con limon. Everything was fresh and great tasting. I recommend this place 100%. Photo of the scrambled eggs with beans and arepas.

We ordered plantain tequenos, highly recommend, for me 4 pieces are not enough! They are super delicious with the nata and you would like to eat 4 more, also we ordered 4 empanada, 2 cheese, 1 cheese with plantain and 1 Chicken, they are tiny as well but the sauce and the ingredients were very tasty! Also the last one was the waffle cachapa, I think is a new item in their menu and it is a very unique and cool concept! It was amazing! I expected more corn flavor in the waffle bread but it was still good! The big scoop of nata is perfect!

Had the absolute best time at Gusto Gourmet. The food was excellent and the service phenomenal. I got the Patacon and my husband had Pabellon and they did not disappoint. We also shared some tequenos! I’d for sure come back another time!!

Very authentic Venezuelan food. Take it from a Venezuelan himself. Their food was delicious and everything I expected. I forgot the name of the dish I ordered but it’s part of their secret menu. You can show them this picture and ask for it. I most definitely recommend it. Nice staff and DELICIOUS Venezuelan food I would recommend it to all of my friends.

Decided to stop by while we were in town and we will definitely be back!! The tequenos & arepas were very good. So glad I ordered the orange juice it was the most natural one I’ve ever tasted, my boyfriend ordered coke and ended up getting an orange juice too because it was just that good! The owner is very sweet and made sure to check in if we were doing good.

Excellent place, it is small but super cozy and clean. The attention is super good and friendly. The food is delicious, the patacon maracucho with shredded meat is divine, the empanadas are very good (my favorite is the cazon). The tequenos and arepas are also good. You have a wide variety of Venezuelan food, as well as some traditional desserts and sweets.

The moment you step inside, you are embraced by the enticing aromas of traditional Venezuelan cuisine, making it hard to resist sampling everything on the menu.

  • Arepas: These classic Venezuelan cornmeal patties are an absolute must-try. From the Reina Pepiada, featuring shredded chicken with creamy avocado salad to the Pabellon, loaded with beef, black beans, and sweet plantains, each arepa is a delicious celebration of flavor. At prices ranging from $9.95 to $11.95, they offer a delightful experience without breaking the bank.
  • Cachapas: These sweet corn pancakes are a revelation. Gusto Gourmet serves them with various fillings such as cheese, ham, and even chicken. The Venezuelan Cheese & Sweet Plantain cachapa is a standout at $12.50, perfectly highlighting the marriage of sweet and savory notes.
  • Breakfast Combos: For those who love starting their day with a hearty meal, the café serves breakfast options that are sure to satisfy. The scrambled eggs, paired with sautéed tomatoes and onions, along with three arepas, create a breakfast experience for only $14.75 that is rich in flavors and textures.

Customer reviews echo the same sentiment of satisfaction and delight. One visitor, Axzel Sequera, raved about the freshness and taste of the arepas, while Lucia Andrea Aray Cappello couldn't get enough of the plantain tequeños, a wonderfully cheesy snack paired with natilla. Even a self-identified Venezuelan, Santiago Blair, lauded the authenticity of the dishes, confirming that Gusto Gourmet remains true to its roots.
